This thesis discusses advanced constitutive models, which can be applied to simulate static, cyclic, and time-dependent soil behavior. Attention is focused on subloading plasticity, generalized plasticity, hypoplasticity, Perzyna viscoplasticity, and Consitency viscoplasticy. A transparent, uniform numerical framework is provided for the fully implicit integration of the models along the loading path. Useful numerical tools, like substepping and numerical approximation of gradients, can be straightforwardly included into the algorithm.
