The topic of this book Dynamic Perception is interdisciplinary and treats important aspects of biological and machine perception. It aims at the presentation and discussion of recent works in this area. Special emphasis is given to the promotion of the scientific exchange between Computer science (Neurocomputing and Artificial Intelligence), Psychology of perception, and the Neurosciences. The topics, which are treated from the perspectives of computer vision, psychophysics, and neurobiology, are: multimodal integration, human movement analysis, action and perception, dynamic visual scenes, optic flow, gestalt laws and statistical regularities, cognitive influences on visual processing, recognition and matching.
